What are the chances of THAT?

So I am listening to the radio and I hear the announcer lady say "call now for Kenny Loggins tickets at the Mountain Winery(one of my favorite places). So I decide to try and call. After a few busy signals, they answer! Here is how it went:
Announcer lady"Hi, you are caller number 11"
Me-"I AM??? I can't believe it!"
Announcer lady-" Yes, do you know the answer?"
Me-"UMM, Answer??"
Announcer lady-"Yes, to the question"
Me-"There's a question??"
Announcer lady-"uhhh, yes, do you know who sings this song, what the name is and when it was recorded?"
Me- " Yes! yes! It is Jon Bonjovi, Dead or Alive....and....hmmm....I don't know the rest"
bummer.

So far behind...

I need to catch up. First, Father's day was great. Scott got a mountain bike. (he so owes me next Mother's Day, I didn't even get a card!!) Then we had a fun day at the amusement park. Then we went to watch our Nephew play baseball (GO, Shane!) The kids loved seeing their Aunt and Uncle and Cousins. Then a nice dinner. This week has been busy with camp for Cameron and yesterday a birthday party for a friend in our travel group who turned 3! WOW! Three! Meigan is getting so big! Luckily, it was a pool party, because it was 100 degrees yesterday! Yesterday was also our "referral day". Two years ago yesterday, we got the call that we had a daughter. Our calls us to let us know that referrals are on their way, but can't tell us exactly when. SO, after waiting around the phone for a week, I decided to get out of the house. You know where this is going, right? I missed the call. Then I tried to call back and they were at lunch. When They finally called, I was at Starbuck's(to help deal with the stress, ya know!) I think they thought I was crazy, crying while ordering my Non-fat vanilla Latte. I wrote down the details on a napkin!9 months old, Living in the Maoming Social Welfare Institute...So exciting! Anyway, here we are, two years later, almost ready for our two year reunion...Here are some pictures from yesterday.

I am not allowed to complain about the heat because of the years I complained how cold it is here in the summer. However, this was taken inside my house.
I'm just sayin'

Total randomness...

Is that a word?
*Note to self: Do not go shopping at the Safeway right across from SBC,I mean Pac Bell, I mean AT&T park(or whatever they are calling it now) when a game is about to start.
*Read "list of things to bring to camp" before dropping off son with none of said things
*Dress your 2 year old in proper dance attire before taking her to her first dance class.
*Overheard tonight on the monitor: Cameron going into Grace's room and saying "Good night Grace, do you want me to give you a hug and a kiss?" AWWWWWW

My husband, the criminal...

So a couple of months ago Scott was pulled over for making a right turn on a red when he, apparently, shouldn't have. This was very exciting for Cameron! A policeman! Pulled us over!! "Hi, Policeman-err,woman"! He says excitedly! So Dear husband was supposed to call and see what we needed to do to get this taken care of (or was I supposed to do it??) I got a notice today saying that we are "delinquent" and need to pay a thousand dollar fine and that there is now a warrant out for his arrest! WHAT?? So I call him, in tears and say that We forgot to pay that ticket and now he needs to go to the court and plead with the judge...(I deliberately left out the "warrant" part) His response is "Oh, now I have a warrant, don't worry, one of my clients is Bad Boy bail bonds, it will be fine, oh, I have a call, I gotta go". I am glad someone has a sense of humor about this....

I am a liar...

So this is the weather forecast this weekend. I am a liar. And we are going wine tasting. I am so excited! And then for Father's Day, we are going to Marine World. (this was Scott's choice!). So a busy and fun weekend ahead!

Hot (NOT) Summer in the City...

OK, I got quite a few responses about the picture below. Kristin cracked me up! My sister insulted me and called me a bad mom-ha ha. Look, people, I love, love, San Francisco, but this is our weather in the Summer. I have to get over it. I complained about the first 5 years we lived here and now I accept it and we take what we can get. And that means swimming in 56 degree water! I am sure you have all heard the quote by Mark Twain "the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco" . So, if you come visit, come in the fall...Or bring your sweatshirt...

This was taken at Crissy Field, one of my favorite places.

Pre-K Graduation

I cried like a baby, even though he will be back there next year! There is something about 4 and 5 year olds wearing graduation caps and singing that does it to me...so cute!!

My son, the social outcast

Overheard at a playdate today. Cameron comes out of the bathroom with no pants on
Cameron-"sometimes I just leave my pants off"
Friend- "Why would you do that?"
Cameron- "Cuz I don't like to wear them"
friend- "I never do that"

Seriously, my kids do not wear clothes.(at home) I try. But they just take them off. Should I be worried?

Happy Belated Anniversary to us...

Remember how I spent my actual 11 year anniversary? Well, we finally got our night out. Scott did some legal work for a friend for free, so to say thank you, she got us a gift certificate to Gary Danko, in the city. By far the best meal I have ever had. First we went to the Buena Vista for drinks. We didn't have an Irish coffee, which they are famous for. I have had one before, and they are a little strong for me! Then we walked over to the restaurant. The weather has been just gorgeous. No fog, 70 degrees at 8:00 PM. We got the 5 course meal and I could not even eat dessert, there was just too much food. A very nice night!

Updates

Here are some updates to some of the burning questions I know you all have...Ha...
Cameron is not going to Kindergarten in the fall. I am perfectly happy with my decision. (no, really, I am)
I have surrendered to the potty training battle.I just give up. I am "letting it go" My friend says that I am saying that too much to actually be "letting it go".
I see stairmaster guy at the gym a lot. He smiles at me and I just know he is thinking "that's the idiot that fell off the thing"
Disneyland sent my cell phone back to me. I had already bought another one.
I found my wallet.
There, now you are all caught up...
