Success at the doctor

The Doctor finally listened to me and is putting Gracie on a preventative medication for her "Sickness induced Asthma" (It has a NAME!) She will have to be on the nebulizer every day twice a day, but at least not in the middle of the night. And it will stop the scary wheezing episodes that come at random times. She also gave us one of these nifty things that we can use when we are out, so we don't have to rush home if she starts wheezing...A very productive visit...

Finally! Have you kept the same doctor all along? I was just wondering? Sometimes, I agree with you, I don't think they listen!

Look at Gracie. What a big girl, doing that b y herself! She's growing up so fast. Tell her to stop it. I'm not ready for her to be a big girl!

Remind me when you are in town next weekend to see if I still have Curtis' old spacer. Curis had one that was the next size down, and it might fit her a little better (even at his size, he is still using the yellow)

Oh good! Those things work great! My son had to use one periodically for about a year when he was younger. It seems like she enjoys using it too. That's good. Could you imagine if you had to wrestle it on her and hold her still 'till the treatment was done? Yah, that was what I had to do with my son! Fun, fun!

I am going to bring my daughter Leah to a specialist for her wheezing also. I don't know if it is the same as your daughter's, or if it is more of an alergy induced asthma. My daughter was on the nebulizer a few times yesterday and I know exactly what you mean about the rushing home to get her a treatment. We are planning a trip away soon and I too am going to look into getting her a spacer for when we are not in nebulizer range. Best of luck.

I'm glad to see they are finally treating her. I hope this works for you. Gracie is such a big girl. It's amazing how little kids adapt to things.

Kim, the rain is such a bummer!! Jen and Mandy, I did not switch doctors, but I was very forcefull and told her exactly what I wanted, or that I wanted to see a specialist and she finally listened...
