Never a dull moment around here...
Cameron was jumping on the couch this afternoon and we aren't sure if he fell off(He said he didn't) but he suddenly started crying and saying his neck hurt. He was laying on the floor and couldn't/wouldn't move it. He wouldn't stop crying and when we tried to move him, it got worse, so we made the dreaded call to 911. They came very quickly and suddenly there was a fire truck outside our door and Fire fighters and paramedics stomping through our house, over the toys and couch cushions to where Cameron was laying. To be on the safe side, they strapped him to one of those boards you always see on E.R., and took him in his first (mine too) ambulance ride to the hospital. They did some tests and took X-rays, which were hard to do because it hurt him to move at all. They concluded that they "don't know" what it is. Great. It could just be a pulled muscle or spasm. So after much crying and a neck brace, we are home again. He is medicated and we will see how he is in the morning. He was a trooper throughout. Here is an actual conversation in the ambulance.
Paramedic"hey, buddy, do you want to be a firefighter when you grow up?"
Cameron "No, I want to be Batman"
paramedic"OHHH, can I be Robin?"
Cameron "No, My Daddy is going to be Robin!"
Cute, even strapped to a board...

Oh, I'm sorry..that must have been so scary for him and for you! Hope all of you are hanging in there...
Poor cutie pie....I hope he gets feeling better soon!
Well that is par for the course. Their will no doubt be many more bumps and bruises as he grows? up. Sorry for your anxieties with both of your kids. But I worry as much as you do. Hang in there. DAD
Those Trips to the ER with you babies are pretty Scary. (I can say that since I had my first this week!) But, you win 'cuz you rode in an ambulance also. Hope he feels better very soon. That neck brace can't be fun.
OMG! Was it scarey for you?! I'm so relieved to hear that he's ok.
I love the Batman conversation! He's a cutie pie!
Oh how scary for you! I am glad he is okay.
Oh! Poor baby! Poor mommy! I am glad that it seems to be something that will sort itself out, but wow... what a scare!
Nice!
We have a Cameron, ours will be 18 in a month and a half (with a little luck). Been to the E.R. plenty of times, but haven't had paramedics on site yet.
Good Luck!

I've been the ambulance route with my daughter before. I can think of a thousand things I would rather be doing than having to take my child to the ER. Thank goodness that it wasn't a more serious injury. Bet it added 10 years to your life though.
Whoa! Cameron, buddy, you need to be careful!!! I'm glad you're feeling better.
OMG!!!! That is so frightening. Glad to hear he's feeling a little better already. Dang, poor little guy. (and poor mom)
Your new scrapbook page looks very cool. I got some scrapbooking software too and am having a blast with it. I'll try to post some pictures soon.
Take care,
