I Waaannt Baaaad Daaaayyyyy!

No, I am not having a bad day, this is what Gracie says every time we get into the car. It is a new song by Daniel Powter and she loves it! It is so funny! I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and it is all she wants to hear! She has even had tantrums because I won't play it ALL the time. Have you heard it? Here are some of the lyrics:
Where is the moment we need at the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin'

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day
this is what Gracie sings:
"Baaaaddd Daaaayyy, Baaaadddd Daaaayyyyy, Baaaaddd Daaaaayyyyy"
Get it? Although it is very cute and I loved the song (past tense, I am sick of it) it is getting old...What happened to Old MacDonald?

That's so funny! We have a couple songs like that around here. Laurie Berkner...who is a totaly awesome as far as kids music goes. But, my husband can never ever get the tunes to leave his head once he hears them, so I try to warn him when the repetition is about to assault us yet again. This way he has time make like rabbit and disappear.

I love that song! I agree on Laurie Berkner - she is really great.

My daughter loves the songs "It's my Life" by Pink and that "heartbreak" song by Rob Thomas - go figure.

I love that song too. Although if I had to hear it over and over and over again, probably not so much. My youngest still wants to hear Move It from Madagascar again and again. Now that gets pretty tiresome.

I think we all know where I stand on children's music... however, I will confess to having several Raffi cds floating around from when Jakey was a baby... back when I was a good mother and cared...

I know all the words to "Baby Beluga".

Eva is being raised on totally inappropriate music. :-)

I hate toddlers and the repetition thing...I have so many episodes of Blue's Clues, Wiggles, and Dora memorized because of that, too! Ugg!

You think that's bad, my nine year old daughter wants to listen to "My Humps"!! Sigh.

Sounds cute! I'm afraid to check it out though. I'm not sure I want Gwen to get hooked on one song since it's horrible enough that we have to listen to the Doodlebops every single second that we're in the car!

:)
