Headed to Missouri

What is in Missouri, you ask? My very best friend with her 3 children, the third I have not met! I was very excited. I thought I was prepared. I bought a DVD player, with two sets of head phones. I bought coloring books. I bought lollipops. I bought a new Leapster L Max cartridge. Then I looked at my itinerary. Do you know how long it takes to get From Ca to Mo??? Five hours and 20 minutes. Five Hours. On a plane with a 5.5 and 3.5 year old. By myself. How did I not know this? I mean, really, I thought it only took 4 hours to get from the West Coast to the East coast. I think I might need more lollipops...

come on girl..you can do this!
I take Catie & Meigan by myself!!!

what you need is 2 DVD players, so they can watch their OWN movies! that's the KEY for us!!! they have their own DVD bags, movies, players, headphones...and I can actually read a flippin' magazine....though, it never fails, I always end up hijacking the drink cart before we hit our destination!!! haven't made it through a trip cross country yet without a cocktail! :)

I cleaned Target and Wal Mart out before I took Olivia on our first solo flight to Ohio - 1 hr 40 min. from our house. Holy moly..what a stinking nightmare! I could have had Dora herself in the bag and my life would not have been any easier. Plane trip #2 we spent more on stuff to appease than we did the tickets but worth every stinking dime and some...that flight had a 2 1/2 layover for a total travel time of 6 hrs.

You're going to do great! Enjoy your trip.

You Can do this! I have gone from Boston to Florida solo....

YOU CAN DO THIS

BTW- you can't take them both in the bathroom on an airplane at the same time... FAA only allows 2 people in there.. I learned this the hard way!

Ok, the first thing that popped into my mind after reading your post was "God help you!!!"

Sorry, really sorry. I wish I was kidding. It's just that we just hurtled through the sky with our two terrors, and it was agony at least on the way there. I'd second the vote for another DVD. Unless your kiddos share REALLY well? Eeesh, I'm a real downer aren't I? Sorry again. It'll probably go so well you won't even want to get off that ole' plane... :-)
