There's no place like home...
I am home. After waiting for 3.5 hours for my plane to get in, I finally left at 8:30 Pm. I got home at 11:00. I had hoped to be home before bedtime, but no. I was so happy to see the kids and we have had a fun day. Now, let me ask you something: Do I Look like a terrorist to you? Because EVERY single time I fly, I am "selected" for extra special security screening. It doesn't matter what airline or airport I fly out of. Usually I don't mind, but when I have the kids, it is a pain. And when I am late for my flight, as I was on Friday. So I end up running through the airport to my gate holding my shoes, belt, and jacket that I didn't have time to put on...So, if there is something I should change about myself to make me look less like a terrorist, please let me know...

Do you have frequent flyer status with who you are flying with? (in this case probably southwest?)
Are you putting it in the system all the time? That usually does the trick of getting you off the constant screening. If not, I'm really confused?
Could be the last name, though..
Hey Lisa - Glad you had a good time at your sister's. Hopefully we can connect when you come back to So Cal in April. You have my email address now, so let me know what your plans are.

Hmmmmmmm- This is the same experience I have when I fly!!! I think they have numbers to fill and don't want it to look like profiling and stereotyping.... so they pick the least suspecting person... a blond cute gal.... That would be you and me!!!!
Lisa
Please! Me too! Last June, while flying home from NY, they even PATTED DOWN Eva... for the love of everything... have they caught one terrorist this way?? If they have I will shut up and let them continue on their merry way of "random" search selection... Cripes!
Here is what you have to do to avoid the clothes falling off... fly in flip flops, throw your cute shoes in your carry on and no belts... I used to try and look cute to travel and now I look like I am on my way to Starbucks...
BTW: thanks so much for your comment to the boys post.. they felt like hot stuff this morning when they read them all!!!
Just discovered your blog thru Gwenblog.
Do you beep at the scanner before they pull you over? This pretty much happens to me EVERY TIME now. And I do NOT look suspicious. But, combine underwire bra, some hairclips my "travelling skirt" which has a zipper, and probably steel parts in my shoes...and I'm asking for it. I'm still looking for that magic combination that doesn't trigger anything!
